Summer Hours & Activities

Beginning July 1, the library will be open on Thursdays, 10:30 AM~6:30 PM.  Wednesday and Friday hours will continue to be 9AM~5PM.  We hope our patrons will find the new hours to be more convenient.

Also in July, the library will be offering a few children’s activities which will run weekly throughout the summer months.  On Wednesdays, beginning July 7th, we kick-off  “Summertime Movie Matinees” , featuring two afternoon movies,  fresh popcorn, and of course, air-conditioned comfort!

On Thursdays, we’ll be bringing back our “Brown Bag Story Hour”.  Pack a lunch and head over to the pond for a good book or two.  In the event of rain or extreme heat, story hours will take place in the library.

If you’re the artsy type, a craft program, suitable for all ages, is planned for Friday afternoons.  A detailed schedule and list of activities will be available soon.  Please stay tuned……….:)

The Franklin Public Library and the Minot-Sleeper Library in Bristol have some fun and exciting activities and events planned for this summer!   All are free and Hill children and their families are welcome to attend.  Watch the Program page for dates and times.

Hill Public Library Needs Your Help!

The Library Board of Trustees and staff are currently planning a Fall Festival, to be held on Saturday, September 25.  Our goal is not only to raise much needed funds for the library, but to showcase the talents of local artisans and residents, as well as provide the community with an enjoyable event.

Along with the traditional book & bake sales, we intend to have exhibits/demonstrations by local craftsmen, entertainment, food, a petting zoo and games for the kids, raffles, apples and pumpkins for sale, and more.  We definitely have lots of work ahead of us!

In order to make this a fun and successful event, we’ll need some help and support.  Please join us on Thursday, June 10 @ 3 PM, if you’d like to take part in organizing the festival.  Don’t forget to bring your ideas and suggestions.  The more the merrier!  If you’re unable to attend this meeting, but would like to help, please call the library at 934-9712 for additional information.

To all local middle & high school students:  This is a great opportunity for Community Service Requirements!
