There’s a chill in the air, but the library is warm and cozy! HPL is happy to welcome back the “HPL Knitting & Craft Group”, a friendly, informal group of ladies who meet on a weekly basis to knit, mingle and swap yarns, patterns and tales. If you are a knitter/crafter and feel that you would enjoy the company of others, whether it be to socialize or you need help with your work, please come along and join us any Thursday between 12:30 and 2:30pm at the Library. On the other hand, if you would like to learn to knit there is always someone there to help you on your way. Just bring your own wool and needles and we will provide instruction and friendly conversation!
Our Preschool Story Time continues every Thursday at 10:30am. Children and their caregivers from our community and beyond are welcome to stop in for a story and quick craft. Recently we have been reading about falling leaves, pumpkins, and other autumn treats!
Extend the pleasure of your reading by discussing it with others. HPL’s Book Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. Selected titles represent a lively mix of fiction, nonfiction, classics, and genres. Members take turns choosing books and leading the discussions. Copies of the “book of the month” will be available at the library during the month prior to a meeting.
